Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were allegedly left "confused and upset" with the Waleses lack of contact after two members of the Royal Family made comments about the colour of Prince Archie's skin.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were supposedly upset when they didn't hear from Prince William and Princess Catherine for two years following their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview, where they spoke about the comments that were made in regards to their unborn son's skin tone, according to the new book Endgame by Omid Scobie.

Scobie, who also co-penned Finding Freedom - a book about the Sussexes - claims that the two couples did not speak for two years following Harry and Meghan making controversial comments about the British Royal Family's treatment of Meghan after she married into the Monarchy.

Back in 2021, Harry and Meghan famously sat down with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey. The couple ended up sparking a race row, which came after they alleged that an unnamed member of the Royal Family speculated what colour their then-unborn son Archie's skin colour would be.

Touching on the race row in the scathing new book Endgame, Scobie claims that Meghan and her father-in-law King Charles III exchanged letters. Within the letters, the names of the two Royals were "revealed", according to Scobie.

Also within the letters, according to the new bombshell book, the King is said to have encouraged Meghan to discuss her feelings with the Princess of Wales. Scobie then claimed that in the aftermath of the interview, the couple are yet to speak.

Prince William did make a comment about the race row though, with him defending his family in public. After the interview was broadcast around the globe, when William was on a public engagement he said: "We are very much not a racist family."

Scobie claims that a source close to the Sussexes revealed that the Waleses silence towards them on the matter of the race row "caused a lot of confusion and upset".

Also within the confines of Endgame's cover, Scobie claims that Harry believed his young son was under serious threat, with him then given less security while the children of Prince William and Princess Catherine, the now Prince and Princess of Wales, had a "bigger security team".

Scobie penned within the scathing book: "But the fact that Archie faced more security threats than other royal children did not translate to additional safety measures. Hierarchy still took precedence, and as seventh in line to the throne at the time, Archie was not considered a particularly high priority."
